I received a letter today and I was so touched that someone would say thank you and I was so glad that we are helping kids with Childhood Cancer and she noticed. If you would like to get involved I have attached a link for you to help by sending a letter to an elected offical or joinning an action network to raise awareness. If you like the T Shirts, all the proceeds got directly to CureSearch.
Here is a copy of the letter.
Dear: KooKoo Bear Kids, I just received a copy of your catalog today and loved browsing through it. I had to write to tell you how HAPPY I was to see some special items for sale on that benefit CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation. My now-five year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 19 months old. She underwent treatment for 26 months and has been doing great since going off treatment in May 2006. Last fall I became a volunteer Illinois Team Leader for CureSearch and work to get the word out about CureSearch and all that their organization does to fund research to create treatment protocols like the one that saved my daughter’s life. Additionally, many volunteers, including myself, throughout the USA are working to get a piece of legislation through Congress called the Conquer Childhood Cancer Act of 2007.
I want to say THANK YOU for supporting CureSearch and raising awareness of childhood cancer. So many children are alive today due to the continuing childhood cancer specific research that CureSearch sponsors.
With much gratitude, Amy – Parent of a childhood cancer survivor, Katie, age 5,
