Roswell Children’s Boutique Hosting Grand Opening

KooKoo Bear Baby and Kids Inc., marketer of upscale children’s furniture, room décor and gifts, announces the opening of its flagship children’s retail store in Roswell, Ga. The store will hold a Grand Opening, featuring sales and specials, on Saturday, November 7, 2009 to reveal their new Holiday lines in time for the Shopping season.

“We had an overwhelming customer demand to open a larger retail store that offered an unparalleled shopping experience where people could touch and feel our high quality merchandise,” said Tara Mediate, president of KooKoo Bear Baby and Kids. Tara created KooKoo Bear Baby and Kids out of necessity said Trace Walsh, vice president of creative design at KooKoo Bear Kids. Tara needed a special place to shop to celebrate the birth of her nephew. This “shop” needed to have the right selection of unique gifts and have excellent customer service. Join us October 8 , 2009 at KooKoo Bear Kids in Roswell Ga for Story Time with Author Diane Adams who will read her book “I Can Do It Myself” winner of the 2009 Parents’ Choice Award. I Can Do it Myself is the story of Emily Pearl who is a very big girl and can do everything herself. She can pour her own juice. She can tie her own shoes. She can feed her goldfish. She can even curl her own hair. Whenever her mother tries to help, Emily says, “I can do it myself!”

About the Author Diane Adams is the author of two children’s picture books, Zoom!, and I Can Do It Myself! She is the illustrator of A Home For Salty (written by Stephanie Stuve Bodeen.)

Diane was born in Long Beach, California, and grew up in Los Angeles and San Francisco. She loved to write poetry as a child, and her favorite book was Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. It’s still one of her favorites.

Diane loves to read, walk her dogs, play golf, and ride her motorscooter. She also loves reading to, and with, children.

Diane has a degree in Spanish from the University of Redlands and has studied under Marla Frazee at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. She spends much of her time writing, visiting schools and speaking at conferences.
